How to Crochet 3D Facemask
Hello everyone. It has been a long time since I have written on this blog. I have made a 3D facemask that is very quick and easy to follow.
Materials:
Cannon, Monaco or Baguio Mercerised Cotton Yarn
Crochet hook size: 1.75 MM crochet hook
I have done this in rows using back loops only.
To start, work a foundation chain of 21 then add
1 more for the turning chain.
- Row 1: Starting from the second chain from hook, work a SC. 1 SC into each of the next 14 chains. (15 SC)
- Row 2 to 3: Chain 1 and turn. 1 SC into the same stitch as chain 1. 1 SC into each of the next 14 SCs.
(15 SC)
- Row 4 to Row 30: Chain 1 and turn. 1 SC BLO into the same stitch as chain 1. 1 SC into the next 9 SCs in back loops only. Work 2 SC( or increase) into the 11th stitch in the row.
- Row 31 to 40: Chain 1 and turn. 1 SC BLO into the same stitch as chain 1. 1 SC BLO into each stitch all through out the row. You can add more rows to make it longer for bigger size.
- Row 41: Chain 1 and turn. 1 SC BLO into the same stitch as chain 1. 1 SC BLO into each of the next 9 SCs. Work a SCtog BLO into every 11th and 12th stitch.
OR instead of doing SCTOG BLO, you can just skip the 11th stitch.
Either way you will still end up decreasing a stitch as you move on to the next row.
Repeat Row 41 until you have 21 SC BLO in total.
Then work 1 SCBLO into each stitch for the last 2 more rows.
Here is the video tutorial link if you want to see how it's done.

DeleteWhat are the finished measurments of the mask? I am asking because I have a 1.65 mm hook instead of 1.75. I am trying to figure out how to make the smaller hook work, and it would help knowing the measurements. Thanks so much for sharing your talent with the world!
