Thank you, 85K Subscribers!
It's been a challenging journey for me as a Crocheter of almost 6 years. When I first uploaded a video on how to make the Moroccan Tile Stitch Purse, which happened to be the first design I have made.
I remember Ate Remy who is a good friend and my sister-in-law's aunt. She bought many purses using the design I posted on Facebook. It was a Sunday. It was actually a gloomy Sunday for me. I was broke that time and almost giving up on YouTube. I actually uploaded a few tutorials in which I think did not seem to be great if not good. Most of them (the videos)are done without too much effort or should I say I did not have enough experience in editing or marketing.
So Ate Remy ordered about 100 pieces of these purses and then I thought of why not making a tutorial since I will be making them 100 times in different colors..
I was asked to make some more designs and so I did it. Believe or not, I almost thought I wouldn't be able to finish. This is also working but I am my own boss and I am the only one who makes them in the family since no one in my family crochets. I had negative thoughts and what ifs.. but I did not let any negativity ruin my productivity. So I focused on my designs and decided to upload my last piece of MTO on YouTube.
That's when it first hit a million views in 2019. I am so so happy. It was also noticed by other bloggers and shared my video tutorial.
From then on, I started making my own pattern. It is still not easy. There are more days that I have cried not knowing what project to do next.
How do I stay consistent in all of these challenges?
I just simply try to breathe. Look for inspiration in the group. I sometimes go out and look for some stuffs you find at the small craft stores. To tell you honestly, I love arts and crafts in any form. I love window shopping for crafty things. I hoard a few embellishments for my projects but it doesn't really cost too much. Just enough for a sudden project in mind. I join many crochet groups because they help lift your spirits up. Besides they share the same passion and it's great to be talking with people who share the same passion. Lastly stay postive, crocheting is a hobby. It should be relaxing and will make your worries unworriable (not a real word). 😅 It's therapeutic.
Anyways, let me take this opportunity to thank you all my 85K subscribers for the trust and for giving great feedbacks on my channel. Rest assured that I will be making more patterns that will interest you and help you increase your skill in crocheting. Love you guys!!
