My Star Stitch Wallet

These days I have been making different designs of wallet. The latest one was the star stitch designs. I did a few enhancements after publishing the tutorial on my YouTube channel.

I replaced the pink button with the wooden Butterfly button. 

I added a 10 x 6 x 1.5 mm D-ring and a 12 mm lobster clasp attached to a romanian strap.


I replaced the snaps with these magnetic snaps. All you have to do is sew them using the yarns. You need to use a smaller needle though.

How to Crochet the Chevron Stitch Purse

 For this project you may use any yarn of your choice. You should make a swatch first to check if the hook you are using is perfect for the yarn.  The Chevron stitch is done in rows of single crochets in  back loop only. It's in multiples of 13. Once you have chained 13 many times, then add 2 chains at the end.  Row 1: On the second chain from hook, work 2 SC. 1 SC into each of the next 5 chains. *Skip 2 chains. 1 SC into each of the next 5 chains. 3 SC into the next chain. 1 SC into each of the next 5 chains.* Repeat * until you finish the row. When you reach the last chain, work 2 SC. How To Crochet Morrocan Tile Stitch Purse

Materials used: 3.75 mm (No. 5) Crochet Hook 1.75 mm Steel hook Zipper Yarns (Teal and White) You may use any hook and yarn of your choice. This stitch is done in multiples of 3. ROUND 1: Using a steel hook to easily poke through the holes of the zipper, start on the upper ends of the zip with 1 single crochet. You may mark 29 holes in advance along the edges of the zip so that it would be easy to work 1 SC across until you get to the other end for a total of 29 SCs. Once you get to the other end, chain 2.
